Julian Escasa

Swimming Instructor

Julian moved to Chicago from the Philippines at the age of 14. He attended Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, where he was a member of the boys’ swim team. Julian was named to the CPS All-City High School Boys’ Swim Team for three events and the NISCA All-American High School Boys’ Swim Team for the 200 medley relay. He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology. At IIT, Julian is currently serving as team captain for the men’s swim team and team president for the men’s water polo club team. In his free time, Julian enjoys cycling, playing Xbox, reading, cooking, building personal computers, listening to music, and watching everything on Netflix. He is training to compete at the 2020 Olympics for the Philippines.
