Our dietitian, Sarah Calamita, RD, CSSD, LD, provides private nutritional counseling for members seeking to change their eating habits to improve their health, prevent or manage disease, lose or gain weight, increase energy, or achieve their optimal athletic performance. Her focus is on holistic wellness achieved through nutrition, lifestyle and overall health modifications. Sarah believes there is no "one size fits all" approach to nutrition or exercise and that each person should be viewed as an individual. She is dedicated to helping each member achieve his or her health and wellness goals in a timely and realistic manner.
This 60-minute consultation includes a customized nutrition plan detailing an assessment of your nutritional status, a balanced meal plan, a sample week of meals, a food and activity tracking guide, general nutrition education, supplement recommendations, and an exercise plan. (This assessment is not designed for those who have a history of disease, an eating disorder, food sensitivities or allergies, or problems with emotional eating. The Clinical Nutrition Assessment and Plan is designed to address those issues.)

More in-depth than our general Nutrition Assessment, the Clinical Assessment and Plan includes two 60-minute appointments, each scheduled approximately one week apart. The first appointment is an integrative nutrition assessment in which our dietitian reviews all aspects of your lifestyle, including medical history, exercise history, dieting history, career, social life, bowel and bladder health, stress management, sleep patterns, and nutritional intake. Then, based on your goals and the results of the assessment, our dietitian creates a custom nutrition and lifestyle plan. At the second appointment our dietitian thoroughly explains your custom nutrition and lifestyle plan.
