This class incorporates elements of ballet, modern dance, Pilates and yoga with light weight-training to improve muscular endurance and balance. It’s a non-stop endurance workout that uses isotonic and isometric contractions to work both the small intrinsic muscles and the major muscle groups, resulting in a sculpted upper body, firmer thighs and a lifted seat. This fun class covers a variety of exercises designed to improve muscular strength, balance, range of movement and functional skills for daily living. Participants work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing, stability balls and walking intervals on the track. All of the exercises can be modified to meet any individual participant’s needs.
