Fitness Testing

Fitness testing is an excellent starting point for designing an exercise program or measuring the effectiveness of your current regimen.

We offer cardiovascular and muscular endurance, body composition, and metabolic testing, and we can put together a testing profile based on your individual fitness goals. Bod Pod Body Fat Measurement

The Bod Pod uses air displacement technology to provide highly accurate measurements of body composition. This type of body fat testing is based on the same principle as underwater weighing and yields more precise results in less time. This testing procedure is accurate to within a one to two percent margin of error. Appointments last 15 minutes. Resting Metabolic Rate Test

The Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test measures how efficiently your body converts food into energy. Understanding your RMR allows you to custom-tailor fitness and nutrition programs to your specific needs. Many factors affect metabolic rate making each individual’s RMR unique to them. As your body changes so does your RMR, so retesting after significant changes in weight or body composition is recommended. A fixed amount of oxygen is required to convert a single calorie into energy. The RMR Test analyzes oxygen consumed to calculate calories burned. You will be fitted with a nose clip and a mouthpiece that will measure the level of oxygen of each exhale while you relax in a quiet room. In order to get the most accurate results do not eat within four hours of your test, do not exercise prior to the test and avoid the use of stimulants such as caffeine. Appointments last 45 minutes. VO2 Max Fitness Test

This test is the most accurate way to calculate heart rate training zones, which you can use to burn fat and calories effectively, get into the best physical shape possible, and maximize performance. Price: $150 members, $200 non-members

VO2 Max Retest
